Pre-Treatment Care
Avoid sun exposure, tanning beds, and self-tanner for at least 24–48 hours prior.
Discontinue use of retinoids, glycolic acid, salicylic acid, and other strong exfoliants for 3–5 days before treatment.
Stop aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, and vitamin E for 3–5 days prior if medically safe (to reduce bruising).
Do not undergo waxing, chemical peels, or laser treatments on the area for at least 1 week before.
Arrive with a clean face, free of makeup, lotion, or sunscreen.
Inform your provider if you have a history of cold sores, active acne, eczema, or any skin infection.
Post-Treatment Care
First 24–48 hours
Expect redness, swelling, and sensitivity similar to a mild sunburn.
Avoid touching, scratching, or picking at treated skin.
Do not apply makeup, retinoids, acids, or exfoliants.
Use only a gentle cleanser, soothing moisturizer, and broad-spectrum SPF 30+.
Stay out of direct sunlight, heat, saunas, and hot yoga.
After 2–5 days
Mild flaking or peeling may occur—do not pick.
Resume a gentle skincare routine; still avoid strong actives until cleared by your provider.
Continue daily use of broad-spectrum SPF 30+.
Ongoing
Results improve gradually over several weeks as collagen remodels.
Multiple sessions are often recommended for best outcomes.
Maintain results with professional skincare and consistent sun protection.
